David was a career Banker with the NAB, with 41 year’s continuous employment at time of retirement in January 2008. His career was across four disciplines with senior managerial roles in each: Retail Banking, Management Training, Human Resources, and Financial Planning.
His military service began when he enlisted in the CMF at Ringwood East in 1967 at the age of 18.
He was called In October 1969 and was part of the National Service 4th intake.
He served in Vietnam from August 1970 to August 1971 with 198 Works Section, RAE at Nui Dat.
David has had extensive Community Service: with Melbourne Legacy serving as its President in 2000. He is currently a Board member. He has been a member of Legacy Australia nation board 1993 to 1999, 2008 to 2015. National Chairman 2009 – 2010; National Secretary 2012 – 2015. He again took up the position of national Secretary in 2019.
He was a Shrine of Remembrance Trustee 2000 – 2006 where he served on the Member of Finance & Audit Committee 2002 – 2010.
